Travis Gryder was a Blowing Rock local, just "living the dream" as an Eagle Scout from Blowing Rock Troop 101, a Firefighter/ Paramedic with Blowing Rock Fire Department, a volunteer member of Watauga Rescue, and one of the founding members of Watauga High School's "Athletes for Good." Travis cared deeply for the wellbeing of others. As an example of Jesus's love, he did what he could to see that those around him had food. If you went to school or church with Travis, he may have even brought you lunch or a moon pie while sharing his smile and the simple, kind words, "You gotta eat!"

Travis's Lunchbox is an ongoing food drive which was created in honor of Travis' giving spirit. All food and donations go to feed the people who visit Casting Bread Free Market & Cafe. If you would like to drop off canned items, other shelf- stable food or any hygiene/personal care items, you can always stop by Casting Bread at 194 Aho Road in Blowing Rock Tuesday- Thursday 10am-3pm or any of the following Travis' Lunchbox locations:
